Ride the Rockies will be traveling around and through Ouray County next week during their six day tour of western Colorado. Race participants will be utilizing sections of Highway 550 and Ouray County - county roads. Please be prepared for highly congested areas on sections of these roads. Many of these roads have little to no shoulder, so cyclists will be on the roadway. Please be patient with them and remember to allow a minimum of three feet between your vehicle and the cyclists when passing them. Colorado State Patrol is assisting Ride the Rockies with traffic flow and Ouray County Sheriff’s Deputies, Ridgway Marshal Deputies and Ouray Police Officers will be on hand to assist with traffic as needed.
We are providing the attached map for reference.
