County Sheriff

The Ouray County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement services and fire protection for the unincorporated areas of the county.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Ouray County Sheriff's Office is commited to providing the citizens of Ouray County with effective and efficient law enforcement. We will apply the laws of the State of Colorado and the Constitution, justly and consistently while treating every individual with dignity, courtesy and respect.

The Sheriff's office is located in the back of the County Courthouse. Courthouse. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

If you have an emergency please call 911. If you need immediate assistance and cannot reach anyone in the Ouray County Sheriff's Office please call Montrose Dispatch at 252-4020 and a deputy will be contacted to assist you. To contact the Ouray County Sheriff's Department please call 325-7272. Below is a list of extensions.
