Real Estate Recording :

While there is no charge to search records on file in this office, please be aware that this office cannot perform searches for you. Due to the sheer volume and wide variety, it would be difficult to list each and every type of document received by the Clerk & Recorders office.

Ouray County Online Records Search :

Ouray County and Aptitude Solutions’ OnCore Recording System allows the public to view all recorded documents 1876 to the present by Reception number and/or Book/Page number. There is no charge to view images. To print images, you must subscribe to the monthly Internet service for a minimal fee.

To search for various documents, you must obtain a book and page or a reception number by searching the Grantor/Grantee indexes first. These indexes are computerized beginning 1995 and are easily searchable in the "search" program on OnCore by last name or some records are searchable by legal description, recording date, reception number, or document type. Our older grantor/grantee indexes can be searched through the OnCore "alpha index" program beginning 1876 to June 1995.The older indexes are searched alphabetically by first letter of the last name.

To search for a subdivision plat, you must locate the reception number on the Subdivision list: Alphabetical listing for Plat maps . Go to the "search" program on OnCore and enter the reception number.

Internet Access Fees are as follows:

Monthly Internet Access Charge -- $25.00/ Monthly Minimum
- Fee applies to the current month no matter what day you start accessing Real Estate records
Image View/print Fee - $.25 each minute for copies printed
All Images and full Data Base - $400.00 per month

Recording Fees:

Implementation of CRS 30-1-103 (1) and (4) beginning JULY 1, 2010
Recording Fee Change:

Most Documents: Including Warranty deeds, deeds of trust, quit claim deeds, liens, agreements, etc. are recorded at $10.00 for the first page (single sided), up to and including 8 1/2" x 14", plus $1.00 surcharge (making the first page a total of $11.00). Each additional page (single sided) is $5.00. NOTE: A document with a front and a back side is considered two pages.

Mining Claim Documents: $6.00 for the first page, plus $5.00 for each additional page AND .25 for each named mining claim.

Oversized Documents (i.e. Plats, single sided, or documents larger than 8 1/2" x 14"): $10.00 per page, plus $1.00 surcharge.

UCC Filings: 1 - 2 pages are $10.00 plus $1.00 surcharge. 3 or more pages are $15.00 plus $1.00 surcharge.

Federal Tax Liens: $5.00, plus $1.00 surcharge, regardless of the number of pages.

Documentary Fees:

Transfers of property are subject to a documentary fee. When the total consideration paid by the purchaser exceeds $500.00, a documentary fee shall be payable at the rate of 1 cent for each one hundred dollars, or major fraction thereof, of the total consideration

Copy Fees:

Copies are $.25 per page, certification is an additional $1.00 per document

Copies of Marriage Licenses $.25 per copy, certification is an additional $1.00 per document.

Delivery charges are outlined below:

Fax charges are $1.00 for the first page sent and $.50 for any additional pages for local calls. Faxes received are $1.00 for the first page received and $.50 for any additional pages. Fax charges for long distance calls are $1.50 per page sent.

Mailing charges for standard-sized documents with ten (10) pages or less is $1.00. Mailing standard-sized documents with eleven (11) pages or more is $2.00. Mailing plat copies (11" X 17" or full sized plats) with 30 or more pages is $5.00.

Emailing charges are $1.00 per request. Copies are $.25 per page.

Over the counter customers will not be charged for delivery.
