Short Term Rental Permitting

0The Ouray County Board of County Commissioners recently adopted Ordinance 2016-002 affecting Short Term Rental (STR) operations in unincorporated Ouray County. Effective January 1, 2017, all property owners currently engaging in, or desiring to engage in, the short-term rental of a legal residence in unincorporated Ouray County, must apply for a Short-Term Rental Permit with the Land Use Department. If you intend to apply for a STR permit, please review and complete the attached application form in its entirety. We would call your attention specifically to Page 2 of the application. The 5 questions at the top of the form must be answered in order to process your application. Also, the items noted in the center of Page 2 must be submitted with your application form. Failure to satisfy these requirement will delay the processing of your application. Current operators of short-term rental units are requested to complete application for a Short-Term Rental Permit by December 31, 2016. Applications will be accepted beginning October 15th at the Land Use Office, located at 111 Mall Road in Ridgway, Monday through Thursday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM.
