Retail Food Establishment Inspections

Beginning in January 2017, Montrose County Health Department will no longer be providing restaurant and childcare inspections in Ouray County. Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will be providing inspections instead. Coincidentally, retail food establishment fees will increase starting in 2017, as set by House Bill 1401. Both of the changes (changes in inspectors and increase in fees) are not related, just coincidental. The CDPHE inspectors do not have assigned counties; therefore retail establishments may have different inspectors when inspections are conducted.

For more information regarding Retail Food Establishment Inspections, please contact the Ouray County Public Health Agency at (970) 325-4670.
